T-Shirt, Orange Shirt Day, Ally. Indigenous Reconciliation

As a non-Indigenous owned company, participating in "Orange Shirt Day" is not something that we take lightly at Shop Love Collective.

We have consulted with Indigenous peoples on our "Ally" design, making edits until it was deemed appropriate, as well as received sign off by the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund (SLC has also received official third-party fundraiser status.)

All profits will be donated to the Downie Wenjack Fund (as of July 15 2023 we have given over $2,100 to this wonderful organization.)

So what is an ally?

An ally fights for equality, opportunity, and inclusion of a group outside their own. We keep space open to learn & validate without doubt. We speak up, even when scared or uncomfortable. We share the burden and listen deeply 🧡

We would love to help you show the world that you are an Ally too, but there are many incredible Indigenous owned companies that are selling orange "Every Child Matters" shirts that we endorse wholeheartedly, above our own design.
